Boğaziçi University is ranked among the top 300 universities in the world in 3 out of 5 broad faculty areas

Boğaziçi University has improved its performance in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024 compared to previous years. Accordingly, Boğaziçi University is ranked in the top 300 in the world in 3 out of 5 broad faculty areas, in the top 150 in 2 narrow subject areas, in the top 250 in 8 narrow subject areas, and in the top 400 in 14 narrow subject areas.

QS, a London-based higher education ranking organization, evaluated approximately 6,000 leading universities in 149 regions across five broad faculty areas and 55 narrow subject areas based on five different criteria: academic reputation, employer reputation, citation per faculty, H-index, and international research network. Considering these criterias, Boğaziçi University has shown an improved performance in the 2024 edition of "World University Rankings by Subject", which has been prepared annually by QS since 2011, compared to the previous year.

Boğaziçi University moved up 57 places to 253rd in Social Sciences and Management, 37 places to 244th in Arts and Humanities, and 20 places to 273rd in Engineering and Technology. As a result, it ranks among the world's top 300 universities in three of the five broad faculty areas. Ranked in the top 250 in 8 narrow subject areas and in the top 400 in 14 narrow subject areas.

Boğaziçi University achieved its highest rank in "Petroleum Engineering" in the 51-100 rank range, while it secured a place in the 101-150 rank range in "Tourism Management". Its performance in "Computer Science and Information Systems" and "Electrical and Electronic Engineering" also improved, moving from the 251-300 rank range to the 201-250 rank range in both fields. In addition, Boğaziçi University ranked in the top 250 in "Statistics and Operational Research", "Linguistics", "Civil Engineering" and "History".

Boğaziçi University was also ranked in the top 400 in the fields of "Accounting and Finance", "Economics and Econometrics", "Education", "Chemical Engineering", "Civil Engineering" and "Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering".
