Within this framework, Boğaziçi University hosted an academic delegation from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia on December 18, 2025, marking an important step toward the development of sustainable academic collaboration between the two institutions. The visit contributed to expanding Boğaziçi University’s international academic network and reinforcing long-term institutional ties.

The delegation included Prof. Dr Adi Rahmat, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Science Education at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Nahadi, Vice Dean, and accompanying faculty members. During the visit, the delegation met with Boğaziçi University officials to exchange views on international cooperation in higher education, academic mobility programs, and opportunities for joint research.

The meeting was attended on behalf of Boğaziçi University by Vice Rector Prof. Fatih Usluer.In addition, Prof. Drç Hakan Akçay, Head of the Department of Education, and Dr. Hasan Özgür Kapıcı, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Science Education, delivered comprehensive presentations on the university’s academic structure, educational quality, research infrastructure, and internationalization objectives.

As part of the visit, a cooperation protocol was signed between the two universities, covering student and faculty exchange programs as well as joint research and project development, particularly in the field of environmental sciences. The agreement aims to enhance academic mobility and establish a solid foundation for interdisciplinary and international research initiatives.

This visit and the signed cooperation protocol stand as a concrete demonstration of Boğaziçi University’s commitment to strengthening its engagement with the global higher education ecosystem and developing long-lasting, high-quality academic partnerships across different regions.
