Boğaziçi University has risen 96 places to 418th in the QS World University Rankings 2025

Boğaziçi University has risen to 418th in the "QS World University Rankings 2025," published by the London-based university ranking organization QS. This places Boğaziçi University back in the top 500 universities worldwide for the first time in a decade and makes it the "most improved" higher education institution in Europe.

The London-based QS evaluated 5,663 universities from 106 countries based on criteria such as "research impact"," "academic reputation"," "employability"," "employer reputation"," "learning experience"," "internationalisation" and "sustainability" According to the study, Boğaziçi University is ranked 418th worldwide and has improved by around 350 places in the last three years.

"WE ARE THE FASTEST RISING UNIVERSITY IN EUROPE"

Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Naci İnci highlighted Boğaziçi University's progress in the latest QS World University Rankings and assessed this year's results as follows:

"Especially when we look at the last three years of our administration, we see that we have risen from 701-750th place to 418th place in the 2025 list, which is an increase of about 350 places. This year we are also the university with the largest rise in Europe. The latest data from QS shows that we have improved in almost all areas compared to previous years. This success motivates us, but it is not enough. We will continue to improve in all areas, including research impact, research and development, education, employability, sustainability, international orientation and cooperation between university and industry."

IMPROVED PERFORMANCE İN EMPLOYABILITY AND REPUTATION

Of the criteria assessed by QS this year, Boğaziçi University performed best in the areas of "employability" and " employer reputation." The university, which was ranked first in Turkey for employability, moved up 19 places to 102nd. In terms of reputation as an employer, it moved up 20 places to 118th. In terms of "academic reputation"," it moved up 25 places to 353rd. In terms of "sustainability", which takes into account the social and environmental impact of universities' sustainability efforts, Boğaziçi University was ranked 334th.
