A hackathon focusing on the 115 years of recently digitized climate graphs from the Meteorology Laboratory Climatology Station of the Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute (KOERI) was held on March 6–7, hosted by the Department of Computer Engineering at Boğaziçi University.

President Erdoğan Attends the Opening Ceremony of Boğaziçi University's Men's and Women's Dormitories
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the Opening Ceremony of Boğaziçi University’s Men’s and Women’s Dormitories. At the ceremony held at Albert Long Hall on the South Campus, President Erdoğan announced three major investments: the reconstruction of the Boğaziçi University Library, which had been demolished due to earthquake safety concerns and will be rebuilt with an investment of 2 billion Turkish lira; a modern laboratory building worth 3 billion lira; and a new conference hall.

The latest installment of the Boğaziçi Lectures series featured Prof. Dr. F. Jamil Ragep, a distinguished scholar and former Director of the Canada Research Chair in the History of Science in Islamic Societies at McGill University, Canada. Renowned for his expertise in the history of astronomy and Islamic science, Prof. Ragep addressed pre-modern astronomical approaches during his lecture.

Boğaziçi University Faculty of Law, also known as the Boğaziçi Law School, organized the conference “Rethinking International Law After Gaza” on August 3-4. The conference brought together more than 100 lawyers from different countries to discuss the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and how it has been handled by international legal mechanisms.
